Fact Sheet
Arcing Past Saturn
A large arc of Saturn's rings twirls around the planet in this recent view from the Cassini spacecraft. Hundreds of individual rings are visible in the image. The dark band at lower left is Saturn's shadow. Cassini was about 1.5 million miles away from the rings when it snapped the picture. [NASA/JPL]
