Globs of Stars
Omega Centauri is the largest star cluster in the Milky Way galaxy. It contains more than one million stars in a ball-shaped volume that spans a few dozen light-years. The globular cluster is about 17,000 light-years away in the constellation Centaurus. [NOAO/AURA/NSF]
