Russian cosmonaut Sergei Krikalev, commander of International Space Station Expedition 11, set a new record early Tuesday for the most time spent in space: 748 days. Krikalev made his first flight in 1988, and spent one 10-month stretch aboard the Mir space station while the Soviet Union disintegrated below him. This is his second tour of duty aboard the International Space Station. Krikalev and crewmate John Phillips are scheduled to return to Earth aboard a Russian Soyuz capsule in October. [NASA]
