The crew of the the next space shuttle mission, which is scheduled for a July 2 launch, poses near the top of the shuttle Discovery after completing a training exercise at Kennedy Space Center. The July 1 launch attempt was scrubbed because of poor weather at the Kennedy Space Center. From left: Michael Fossum, Thomas Reiter, Pilot Mark Kelly, Commander Steven Lindsey, Lisa Nowak, Stephanie Wilson, and Piers Sellers. The crew will ferry supplies and equipment to the International Space Station and test changes to the shuttle system made in the wake of the 2003 destruction of shuttle Columbia and problems on Discovery's previous mission last year. Reiter, who is from Germany and represents the European Space Agency, will remain aboard the station as the third member of the Expedition 13 crew. [Credit: NASA/KSC/Kim Shiflett]
